Sir Anthony Hope Hawkins, was an English novelist and playwright. He was a prolific writer, especially of adventure novels but he is best known for his best selling books: The Prisoner of Zenda and its sequel Rupert of Hentzau. Zenda has inspired many adaptations, most notably the 1937 Hollywood movie of the same name. Few of his novels like Tales of two people, The Secret of the Tower, The Heart of Princess Osra, The God in the Car, and The Prisoner of Zenda are considered as all time best selling adventure novels.
