"Literature" is a comprehensive text-anthology of fiction, poetry, and drama designed to introduce students to the formal study of literature. Each of "Litearture"'s three sections is prefaced by a discussion of the basic elements that go into the making of a story, a poem, or a play in which such elements relate to each other and to the work as a whole.
